Hailey Bieber has revealed her true feelings about Billie Eilish’s surprise appearance during Justin Bieber’s Coachella set and it turns out she had a much bigger role in the moment than fans realised.
The ‘Birds of a Feather’ singer, 24, joined Bieber, 32, on stage for a rendition of ‘One Less Lonely Girl’, where he serenaded her in a full-circle moment that delighted longtime fans. Eilish, a self-confessed Belieber, has long been one of the pop star’s most high-profile supporters, making the cameo all the more meaningful.
Speaking at the Time100 Gala in New York on 23 April, Hailey, founder of skincare brand Rhode, was asked about the viral moment. Her response? She was actually the mastermind behind it all.

“It was incredible,” Hailey told Time in New York April 23. “We love Billie so much. We adore her, couldn’t love her more. I just thought it would be so full circle to have that happen since they met for the first time at Coachella.”
Billie, who has been a vocal Bieber fan for most of her life, first crossed paths with Justin in the crowd during Ariana Grande’s Coachella set in 2019, where the ‘Bad Guy’ singer famously dropped to the ground in awe.
Hailey revealed she had been thinking about bringing Billie on stage for Justin’s nostalgic set ‘for months,’ keeping the plan a secret from the Grammy winner.
“I thought it would be a really fun idea, so to see it come to life and to see it happen,” Hailey mused. “Obviously, we told her in the moment and she is the best sport and the best woman.”
The 29-year-old emphasized, “I couldn’t love her more, truly.”
Hailey and Justin Bieber are also parents to their young son, Jack, who is still a toddler.
Meanwhile, Billie couldn’t have loved the moment more, later sharing her reaction on Instagram alongside a series of throwback photos and videos that showed her longtime fandom of Justin.
Eilish just gave fans the receipts of her Belieber credentials after their Coachella moment, sharing a super-cute post filled with throwback photos and videos. The collection showed her in the not-too-distant past wearing Justin Bieber-branded singlets, passionately defending the Canadian pop star, posting heartfelt birthday shoutouts, and even dancing adorably to his song ‘Confident.’ She also included a photo of herself in her bedroom, completely surrounded by Bieber posters.
She captioned the post, which has over 8.8 million likes, “don’t talk to me”.
