It seems absolutely everyone is talking about Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s divorce.

In a joint statement shared on social media yesterday (6 September), the couple announced that they would be separating after four years of marriage.

Whilst many fans have been heartbroken by the news, Emily Ratajkowski has said there’s ‘nothing better’ than getting divorced before thirty. Have a listen:

The mum-of-one is speaking from experience, having divorced her former husband Sebastian Bear-McClard at the age of 26 in 2022 after allegations of cheating.

Now 32-years-old, Ratajkowski took to TikTok to say: "It seems that a lot of ladies are getting divorced before they turn 30."

She went on: "Personally I find it chic to be divorced by the age of 30. Being in your 20s is the trenches, there is nothing better than being in your thirties still being hot, [writing *having boundaries], maybe having a little bit of your own money, figuring out what you want to do with your life – everything."

Ratajkowski, who was married to her ex-husband for four years, added that after having 'tried that married fantasy' you may realise it’s 'not all it’s cracked up to be'.

Offering some reassurance to any 20-something divorcees out there, the model said: "You’ve got your whole life still ahead of you.

"So for all those people who are stressed, or feeling stressed about being divorced, it’s good. Congratulations."

She also added in the TikTok video's comments: "[It's] way better to be divorced than unhappy/unsafe/miserable in a relationship wasting your precious time on this planet."

Preach.

The model's confessional comes after Jonas, 34, filed for divorce from Turner, 27, at the Miami Dade County Court on Tuesday (5 September), with NBC News reporting that the 'Sucker' singer said their marriage was 'irretrievably broken'.

In a statement confirming the split, the pair took to Instagram to announce: "After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage.

"There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children."

The two were first romantically linked back in 2016 and just a year later, in October 2017, they confirmed their engagement.

They got married back in 2019 after eloping to Las Vegas for a surprise wedding, and have since had two children together.

In the divorce filing, Jonas also added that the pair 'have shared parental responsibility' over their children as well as a prenuptial agreement.
