Demi Moore leaves fans in disbelief with grotesque nude costume from ‘horrifyingly disturbing’ film that viewers couldn’t finish

Fans were in shock over the incredible transformation

Demi Moore has left fans in total disbelief with her 'iconic' nude costume from the 'horrifyingly disturbing' film that viewers couldn’t finish.

Back in September, horror-lovers were treated to one of the most provocative films of the year, The Substance.

Starring the likes of Moore, Margaret Qualley, and Dennis Quaid, it didn't take long for the world to be blown away (and seriously grossed out) by the extremely gruesome body horror.

Check out the official MUBI trailer here:

Now, in case you've not managed to watch it up on the silver screen yet, the film follows Elisabeth Sparkle (Moore) who was once thriving in La La Land, hosting her own aerobics show before being sacked on her 50th birthday.

Clearly in distress at the whole ordeal, Elisabeth happens upon a mysterious laboratory that offers her a substance, which promises to transform her into the 'more perfect' version of herself, named Sue.

It doesn't take long for things to all practically go to sh*t after Sue gets selfish and pretty much drains Elisabeth's life force after not 'respecting the balance' of the substance - a major term and condition attached to the stuff.

This results in Elisabeth transforming into a near-dead, balding, wrinkled husk of a creature.

Now, Moore thankfully captured a bunch of behind-the-scenes pics of this transformation, and decided that Halloween was as good a time as any to finally reveal them to the public.

Moore shared a series of snaps to her Instagram to show off the incredible costume and make-up department for The Substance.

She captioned the photo dump: "Spoiler alert. Been holding onto these gems from @trythesubstance and today feels like an appropriate day to share them. Happy Halloween from Elisabeth Sparkle."

Needless to say, fans were seriously wowed by the gruesome get-up, with many rushing to the comments to share their amazement over the major transformation.

"I’m absolutely loosing my mind," gushed a second, while a third chirped: "Omgggg I watched this last night!!! Absolutely amazing and freaked me the f*ck out!"

A fourth praised: "Pretty iconic if you ask me."

Aren't we all?
