Demi Lovato’s sister Madison flooded with support as she issues statement on death of baby daughter

Demi Lovato’s sister, Madison De La Garza, has been flooded with support after issuing a touching statement on the death of her baby daughter.

Madison, who is the singer's 22-year-old half-sister, took to Instagram yesterday (27 October) to share with her 481k followers the heartbreaking news that she and her partner, Ryan, suffered the monumental loss following C-section complications last month.

The statement reads: "On the evening of September 27th, after an emergency c-section, Ryan and I held our little girl for the first and last time. "Thank you, Xiomara, for making us parents to the most perfect angel in heaven."

Madison signed off the tribute adding: "Mommy and Daddy love you sweet girl."

She captioned the post: "I love you so much Xiomara. An angel in every sense of the word. I’ll be your auntie forever."

Madison, who is best known for playing Juanita Solis on Desperate Housewives, has since been inundated with support with thousands rushing in to share their commiserations following the tragic situation.

One Instagram user wrote: "May your daughter forever rest in paradise. There are no words."

A second shared: "Having experienced this personally, please accept my condolences. It doesn’t mean much from a stranger and being one comment in literal thousands, but having been there, I understand."

A third echoed: "I'm so beyond sorry, this is so heartbreaking."

"No parent should have to experience such a devastating crushing loss of losing a child," offered another. "Our hearts feel your sadness Madison and Ryan... you are not alone in your grief."

And a final Instagram user added: "So sorry for your loss! Send our love and prayers to you and your family."

Demi has also penned a tribute to her baby niece online.

As well as commenting on her maternal half-sister's post - writing: "I love you so much Xiomara. An angel in every sense of the word. I’ll be your auntie forever." - the 'Heart Attack' singer posted another message on her own account.

On her Instagram Story, Demi shared a similar sentiment: "RIP to my beautiful, perfect niece Xiomara. I’m so grateful I got to hold you. I’lI forever be your auntie."

She tagged her sister, adding: "I love you so much."
