Two years after getting engaged, a TV presenter has reportedly shocked her friends by calling off her wedding three weeks before the big day.

Channel 9 sports presenter Danika Mason, who heads up the network's rugby league coverage, was due to marry long-time partner Todd Liubinskas after the pair got engaged in 2021.

In fact, the pair were set to get married at a ceremony in just three weeks time, which makes the news particularly surprising to many in the media.

As per the Daily Telegraph, a number of high-profile media personalities had already accepted an invitation to the wedding, but were informed last week it would not be going ahead as planned.

The outlet reported that friends of Mason have described her as 'beyond devastated' and 'completely heartbroken'.

The couple were set to tie the knot in just three weeks.

Despite the breakup, Mason continued to fulfil her professional commitments over the last week, including heading up Channel 9's National Rugby League grand final qualifiers over the weekend.

The couple, who have been together for over three years, were last seen in public together at a car event to launch the new BYD electric car in Alexandria.

This event took place just two weeks prior to guests were informed of the wedding cancellation.

And the pair were active together on social media as recently as just over a week ago, as Mason threw a surprise birthday for Liubinskas for his 40th birthday party.

Alongside a photo of the couple out at a bar with pals, Liubinskas penned: "40 feels good! Thanks for the love! An epic surprise."

Prior to that, the pair's social media feeds were flooded with holiday snaps, while also enjoying lavish parties with their friends.

Only last month, Liubinskas shared a video of the now former couple enjoying a ski trip at Thredbo, who were of course joined by their adorable little pup Charlie.

The pair certainly seemed to be on good terms, as Mason could be seen laughing and smiling at Liubinskas as he snapped her charging their electric cart before they headed off.

While Liubinskas is certainly less known compared to Mason, he also works in sport and fitness as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach.

Mason, on the other hand, started as an intern in the newsroom in 2012 at Channel 9 and has been there ever since.

She eventually rose to the host of The Sunday Footy Show, while also working as a sideline reporter for NRL matches

LADbible has contacted representatives for Danika Mason and Todd Liubinskas for a comment.
