Coronation Street star Sair Khan has just announced she’s pregnant with her first baby.
The 35-year-old actor, who has played the character of Alya Nazir in the ITV soap since 2014, took to Instagram to share the news this afternoon (13 December), sharing a heartfelt statement with her 278k followers.
She uploaded a black and white snap holding her pregnant belly with her partner, Nathan Chilton, alongside another shot of the pair doing a 'thumbs up' to the camera.

The statement began: "Hello…
"It’s been a little while since posting on here which has been a real mix of emotions. With all that is happening in the world it didn’t feel like the right time to share but we also know it’s okay to keep hope and pray for peace whilst acknowledging that we feel blessed and grateful."
Addressing Nathan's battle with his health, Sair continued: "Last year was a challenging time for us both with Nathan’s chondroblastoma surgery on his pelvis. It’s been a long road to recovery and still has many obstacles ahead as we deal with the spread of the tumour to his lungs.
"Life can be difficult and there’ll always be challenges to face but there are also important lessons to be learnt and gifts to be cherished.
"We’re so excited for the arrival of Baby Chilton in Spring 2024."
People have since rushed in to share their congratulations for the couple with one Instagram user writing: "Massive congratulations guys!! This is so exciting!"
"Such beautiful news! Congratulations to you both my lovely. Sending so much love to you all," penned a second.
A third chimed in: "Oh myyyyyyyy I am so happy for you. Amazing. Love to you both!"
"The best news Sair. So so happy for you both," echoed another.
A fifth gushed: "Oh my!!!! This is the best!!!!! Massive congratulations to you both! And lots of love!!!"
"Ahhhhh Sair that’s the best news congrats to you both, you will make amazing parents!" remarked a sixth, while a seventh fan added: "Congratulations to you both on your wonderful news, and wishing him all the best on his road to recovery!"
A final Instagram user said: "Huge congratulations Sair & Nathan on your special blessing!"
Sair, who also appeared in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2018, and chiropractor Nathan first went public with their relationship back in 2021.
