Chrishell Stause has made her feelings known on singer Gwen Stefani’s latest partnership with the popular prayer app Hallow.

Founded in 2018, Hallow is an American Catholic meditation and prayer app, delivering audio-guided Bible stories and Christian music to paying subscribers.

Community challenges and daily prayers are posted on the app too, which has famous users attached such as actors Mark Wahlberg, Chris Pratt, and now Stefani, 56. The ‘Sweet Escape’ hitmaker, who is a devout Catholic, has previously invited fans to join her in prayer challenges and to focus on Jesus during meditation time.

This time around, the 'No Doubt' icon uploaded a promotional video to Instagram with a ‘paid partnership’ mark, inviting her followers to take part in Hallow’s ‘Be Still’ Advent challenge.

“That is what Christmas is all about: letting God into our hearts and letting Jesus bring us his peace,” Stefani claimed in the promo.

While Selling Sunset star Stause, 44, didn’t leave a direct comment underneath the artist’s video, she did make reference to it elsewhere. Matt Bernstein, host of the A Bit Fruity podcast, brought Hallow to the attention of his fans via another video.

It was there that he informed them that the app cost $9.99 (£7.50) per month and included prayers and meditations that were ‘explicitly anti-abortion’, as per US Weekly.

He also highlighted that some of the stories on the platform were read by Lila Rose, an anti-abortion advocate who hosted a conversion-therapy practitioner on her podcast earlier this year.

The outlet reported that the Catholic app was initially funded by Republican Vice President JD Vance, among others.

Vance has described himself as ‘100 percent pro-life’ in the past, claiming he wanted to support fertility treatments and affordable child care along with President Donald Trump, as per Politico.

Underneath Bernstein’s clip, Stause wrote: “Gwen-DON’T SPEAK,” referencing the title of No Doubt’s 1996 hit.

“Please take your own advice on this one,” the Netflix star added, followed by a melting face emoji.

The Kentucky native, who is in a relationship with Australian singer G Flip, has been backed up by hundreds of Instagram users, with one writing: “Well said.”

“Girl I love you for this lol,” commented someone else.

Bodybuilder Kourtney Olson remarked: “You won the internet today.”

The author, who confirmed her Selling Sunset exit in early November, has previously described herself as ‘very much not conservative’. In 2022, she told British Vogue that in the wake of the Roe v, Wade reversal, it was ‘frustrating to feel like we’re going back in time’.

Tyla has reached out to representatives of Gwen Stefani for further comment.
