White Lotus star Carrie Coon has addressed speculation that she’s in an ‘open relationship’ with her husband Tracy Letts.

Carrie is one of the stars of the third season of the hit HBO dark comedy drama which returned for its third season, this time set in Thailand, earlier this month.

She married playwright and actor Tracy in 2013 and together they have a son born in 2018 and a daughter born in 2021.

During a recent interview to promote the show, Carrie gave the public insight into their marriage. The actress said on the WTF with Marc Maron podcast earlier this week that she and her husband are ‘not jealous people’.

But some listeners were taken aback with her confession about them both checking out and appreciating other people while working on sets.

“That’s the nice thing about marriage where everything’s on the table; you talk about everything,” she said. “We don’t have any of those hang-ups. So, we never wanna be, like, the police, you know?

“So, it’s nice to be in a relationship where we can always talk about, like, ‘Who are you attracted to on set?’ It’s so fun. I love it.”

The Gilded Age actress said her husband ‘always tells me who he has a crush on’.

She added: “We love talking about it. It’s fun. It’s interesting to know what your partner’s into. It’s titillating.”

But amid confusion on social media about the status of her marriage, Carrie clarified her comments and confirmed she’s not in an open marriage.

“Settle down, internet! I said ‘open minded’ not ‘open’,” she posted on X.

“Yas queen,” one fan responded.

“The internet was so excited!” another passionate fan posted in response.

“Well, still iconic of you either way!” a third person wrote, while afourth admitted: “OMG I was like whaaaaat?!?!”

After an almost three-year wait, HBO finally debuted new episodes of The White Lotus.

The third season of the hit Mike White-scripted drama returned on Sunday (16 February) and it's clear things have already started off with a bang given the fact the very first episode sees Patrick Schwarzenegger in a full-frontal scene.

Season three is set in Thailand, while the prior two seasons were set in sunny Hawaii and rustic Italy, and stars a whole bunch of famous faces including the likes of Carrie, Natasha Rothwell, Jason Isaacs, and Aimee Lou Wood.

And there's not just been a change of locations and cast, as the beloved theme tune music has also switched up.
