Brian Austin Green has responded to the allegations that he had groomed ex-wife Megan Fox when they were together as he explained why he'd never spoken out about it before.
It's been five years since Austin Green and Fox slit up, after they began dating when she was 18 and he was 31.
The pair share three children together, Noah, 12, and Bodhi, 11, and then Journey, who is eight.

However, online speculation from commenters has sparked a renewed interest in the pair and what really went on in the beginning of their relationship.
For Fox, she has since welcomed a little baby with her on-again, off-again partner Machine Gun Kelly earlier this year.

The pair began being seen together in May of 2020, just one month after her and Austin Green confirmed they were calling it quits for good.

Austin Green now has a fiancée called Sharna Burgess who shares a two-year-old son called Zane with the actor.
But Austin Green admitted he's faced allegations that he 'groomed' ex Fox, with Burgess even asking him to publicly address the allegations.
He explained on the Oldish podcast on 5 May that he has taken the step to refuse to engage in the online speculation, choosing instead to keep his silence.
He shared: “I really logically understood that if I defend myself this one time, it’s never gonna stop.

“I’m gonna have to defend myself for who knows how long because people are gonna believe what they want to believe.”
For Austin Green, he shared that his past speaks for itself, explaining: “People spend more time seeing me not being that way and they start questioning things and are like, ‘We’ve seen him for five years and we’ve never once seen him be controlling or hearing any other story from anyone else about it'."

He said: “To me, it’s like the long game of it all.”

But he did lament that starting a family so young might have been ‘overwhelming’ for Fox, who is now 38, sharing that she had ‘missed out’ on experiences in her life when she asked him for a divorce.
He shared :“I think when she realized that, she wanted out quickly, which is then what made it hard for me.
“I understood it, but it didn’t make it any less hard. I get it, I understand—it feels like s***. It killed me, it was out of nowhere.”
Their relationship lasted 15 years before their divorce was finalised in 2021.

The pair met on the set of Hope & Faith in 2004, with Fox telling The New York Times in 2009 that she ‘didn't know who he was from 90210’ but she ‘liked him’ instantly.
She shared: "Everyone was around the monitor watching a scene, and Brian accidentally touched my leg. I remember literal electricity shooting through me and out me from every direction. It was like magic."
