Special meaning behind each of Ant McPartlin’s tattoos after he shares new photo

Special meaning behind each of Ant McPartlin’s tattoos after he shares new photo

His collection of ink continues to grow

Just yesterday (14 May), British TV legend, Ant McPartlin, announced the birth of his baby boy with wife Anne-Marie Corbett.

The 48-year-old, who is one half of the Ant and Dec duo, took to Instagram to share black-and-white snap holding the newborn, as well as a tree tattoo featuring some names.

He captioned the post, revealing the little tot's name: "Welcome to the family.

"Wilder Patrick Mcpartlin. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am.

"Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess!"

Fans and celebs alike rushed in to share their congratulations for the happy couple - but some were intrigued about the tattoo on his shoulder.

Now, Wilder is Ant's first biological child, but he has also been a step-dad to the children of his ex-wife, Lisa Armstrong.

Ant's tree tattoo features the name 'Amzie', a shortened version of his wife Anne's name.

His stepdaughters' names were also visible, 'Poppy' and 'Daisy', as well as the names of his pet dogs, 'Milo' and 'Bumble'.

However, it's clear that tattoo isn't his only bit of ink with a special meaning as the I'm A Celebrity presenter has previously revealed his collection of tattoos before, which left many fans wondering what on earth they all mean.

Back in 2022, Ant showed off his sprawling new piece of ink situated on his right arm.

While, at an initial glance, the tattoo just looks like a cool circular pattern - it is actually a sweet tribute to one of the most famous musicians to ever exist.

Yep, the black-and-white mosaic is a nod to The Beatles frontman John Lennon, with the word at the centre of the pattern reading 'Imagine' which was the title of Lennon’s biggest hit back when in 1971.

The mosaic is called Strawberry Fields and the original is located in Central Park, New York, where Lennon lived and died.

And that's far from the only piece of body art as Ant also revealed in 2021 an 'A' on his chest, over his heart, which is believed to be an ode to Anne-Marie.

A couple years prior, in 2018, Ant showcased a tattoo that appears to be the Alcoholics Anonymous logo, which could possibly be a tribute to his work towards recovery.

The presenter had an arrow on his right forearm which is thought to represent moving in a positive forward direction, with some fans online speculating whether it's an indication of his sobriety.

He previously told The Sun that this arrow has a 'personal meaning but it’s very positive'.

The presenter also has a large rose on his left forearm and another small tattoo of three stars located near his left wrist.

Ant's additionally got the letters 'S&H' etched onto his wrist and while it’s not totally clear what the 'H' stands for, The Sun reports that the 'S' stands for 'sober'.

Who knows what else Ant will get tatted up with in the future?

Tyla has contacted Ant's representatives for comment.
