AnnaLynne McCord and new husband Danny Cipriani received death threats over fundraiser for wedding
AnnaLynne McCord and Danny Cipriani have officially tied the knot in a ceremony in Los Angeles - but revealed that they received death threats over ‘fundraising’ for their big day.
The American actress and 90210 star, 39, confirmed in an Instagram video on Sunday (23 August) that she and the English former rugby union player, 38, had become Mr and Mrs.
She gushed in a video, filmed from her bed: “I married the love of my life yesterday, and it’s real. It wasn’t a dream,” before describing the ceremony as ‘perfect’.
However, it comes after the celebrity couple caused a stir by using the platform Honeyfund to list different contributions guests could make towards their wedding.

Instead of gifts, the site listed things like a $100 marriage license, $125 on reception drinks or $300 for a photographer.
If you wanted to help with the wedding cake, you’d have needed to fork out $600, or guests could’ve donated $500 towards the rehearsal dinner.
They wrote on the registry: “Help us create our dream wedding and honeymoon experience with any amount of donation.”
The move prompted backlash online, mostly due to the couple reportedly having a combined net worth of $11 million.
However, McCord has since confirmed in a new interview with The Sun that she didn’t realise the website she was using was public.
She explained: “Everyone was asking what they could give us. I was like, I have five blenders. I have everything for my home. I’m getting married at 39. I don’t need another item. I am very blessed.”
The actress recalled: “We wrote on the wedding invite that in lieu of gifts we would love to feel our guests’ contributions in the flowers, music and photography on our big day.
“I didn’t know that it was an open link until a co-star at work asked me: ‘Are you crowdfunding for your wedding?'”
Talking about the wave of backlash they faced when the news of the fundraiser went public, McCord said: “I was told I was despicable and that I was trying to extort money from my wedding guests.
“People actually donated ten dollars towards the wedding so they could write on the site that Danny and I were disgusting. There were even death threats.”
According to People, the couple said 'I do' at an 'elegant bohemian'-themed backyard ceremony at their LA home.
The actress told the outlet: “Our home is where we get to start our new life together.
“To have those we love the most bless it with their presence, in celebration of our love, will be a gift that keeps on giving for years to come.”
With over 80 guests in attendance, McCord gushed: “Our soul family has flown in from all over the world, booked big houses together and shown up to wrap floral arrangements around unsightly pipes, cover our backyard with lanterns and rose petals, perform blessing ceremonies, rituals and rites - all to put their hearts’ love into the cornerstone of the temple of our marriage and budding life together.
“If the entire event fell apart, but they were all still there with us, we have what truly matters: people who know us deeply and love us for who we truly are and for how much our love means to them.”
The couple first met on the dating app Raya back in 2016 and had an on-and-off relationship that lasted for around four years before splitting in 2020.
McCord and Cipriani rekindled their romance in 2024, following the rugby player's split from his ex-wife Victoria Rose. The sportsman proposed on Christmas Day 2025 and the couple announced their engagement in April 2026.
Now, it looks like all of their worries have been forgotten, as in her gushing Instagram video shared after they tied the knot, McCord told her followers: “This love is a grace upon my being. Every moment of this creation of this ceremony, every moment of ritual, every stolen glance, until we could just stand there holding hands, looking in each other’s eyes for a frozen moment that held the current of infinity.”
She continued: “The energies swirling around this wedding are all completely perfect.
“No misstep, no comment, no headline, not a single word, and through or around this magical union with my magical beloved is anything less than a perfect divine design, and it only all feels like love to me. Words are beauty in the eye of the beholder, and I see only beauty, only love.”
