Amanda Seyfried previously opened up about where she got her very NSFW nickname from.
The Mamma Mia! star appeared on The Graham Norton Show earlier this month (6 February), joined by Wuthering Heights co-stars Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi alongside Strictly Come Dancing star Johannes Radebe and BRIT award-winner Jacob Alon.
At one point during the episode, Seyfried gifted Norton a toy basket with the words 'from M*nge to you' written underneath, prompting the audience to erupt into laughter.
For those not in the know, 'm*nge' is slang for a woman's pubic hair or genitals.
"Because of course! People call you 'M*nge'," Norton said. Elordi then timidly asked Seyfried the lore behind the nickname, referencing the fact that in Australia, 'm*nge' has the same X-rated meaning.
"In the UK, it's also m*nge," Seyfried acknowledged.
"I saw that on your foot, and I thought it might be like a child's name or something," Elordi went on, before Seyfried replied: "Could you imagine if I named my child 'M*nge'?
"In America, she wouldn't be made fun of. But yeah, no, it's a nickname."
After catching light of the funny exchange, fans rushed to social media to share their reactions with one clueless Reddit user writing: "Do I even want to ask? I have no idea what this means."
"This is the first I’ve heard m*nge means vagina," confessed another and a third chimed in: "This is the first I’m hearing about this, does she genuinely call herself m*nge lol?"
She most definitely does!
Seyfried previously opened up about her and her Mamma Mia! castmates getting matching 'm*nge' tattoos to mark their bond.
Speaking on Late Night With Seth Meyers, the host asked Seyfried about her small foot tattoo, to which she explained that while filming the first Mamma Mia! instalment, she became extremely close with fellow actresses Rachel McDowall and Ashley Lilley, who played her character Sophie's best friends.
Amanda Seyfried addressed her 'm*nge' foot tattoo on a recent episode of The Graham Norton Show (BBC) The trio decided to honour their newfound friendship by heading to the tattoo parlour to get their feet inked with the same design - the word 'm*nge' in a small cursive font on the side of their feet, which, as we know, means something completely different in the United Kingdom than it does in the United States.
Because of that, Meyers asked the actress why they chose 'm*nge' particularly and what it meant.
"It's a term of endearment," Seyfried explained, which also clarifies why her Instagram handle is @mingey, echoing the fact that it's a nickname that her friends use on each other.

She did admit, however, that when she heads out to the UK, her tattoo does sometimes get a few eyerolls.
"There’s a lot of judgment," she laughed. "Which is fine, because it means so much more to me than 'vagina.'"
