Love Island fans get excited as presenter Caroline Flack has teased details of the upcoming winter instalment after touching down in South Africa yesterday (Monday, 18th November).

The 40-year-old host took to her Instagram Stories to fill her 2.3million followers in on her travels to Cape Town to film the Winter Love Island advert, meaning the new season is firmly on it's way.

Speaking directly to her phone camera, the TV host explained she touched down in the country to shoot the opening ad for the show, which will screen on ITV2 in January.

Teasing her trip, she said on her social media: "We have just landed in Cape Town for Winter Love Island. We are not sure what to expect, we don't usually film it in the winter do we?

As her stylist Gemma Wheatcroft tended to her beauty needs, Caroline added: "We are trying to decide what the hairstyle is going to be for this year's Love Island. I think I might go to a bob - I might bob it up."

On her way to set, the ITV darling dropped another clue about the location of the inaugural series, explaining that the villa is 20 minutes from the Lion's Head mountain, in Cape Town.

"We're on our way to location to film the advert," she began. "Apparently, it's only 20minutes away from where we are but just in case there's traffic, we're leaving an hour before.

"Little do they know I'm a complete time bandit and am never late."

Continuing to document the shoot, she said in between set ups: "We've just finished the first shot of the day and to begin with I had this yellow dress on.

"So weird, I looked like I had been rolled over by a roller and someone tried to plump me back up again - I'm never wearing that [again]".

The TV star, who recently celebrated her milestone birthday, later tagged a snap of the canary yellow dress in question with the caption: "Day 1 shoot ... hair and make-up."

Caroline has fronted Love Island since 2015 when the revival of the reality romance series made a comeback on ITV2.

Based in Majorca during the summer, the winter instalment is set to start on Wednesday, 8th January, 2020 - but applications are still open for prospective contestants.
