New Crime Thriller 'We Hunt Together' Is Coming Next Year And It Looks Amazing
Alibi has just given crime drama fans the first look at its new six-part series We Hunt Together, which is set to grip the nation in 2020.
The UKTV Original crime drama, which will air in Spring, stars Broadchurch actress Eve Myles and Babou Ceesay of National Treasure fame, who play a mismatched crime-fighting duo on the hunt for a pair of killers.
The show, which is produced by BBC Studios Productions, is written by Cheat's Gaby Hull and features rising stars Dipo Ola and Star Wars: The Last Jedi's Hermione Corfield.
And on Monday, they released the first image of the foursome in character, standing in a rather ominous looking alleyway.
According to the official synopsis of the thriller: "Baba (Dipo Ola) a former child soldier desperate to suppress his violent conditioning, and Freddy (Hermione Corfield) a magnetic and disarmingly charming free spirit.
"When Baba rescues Freddy from an attack following a date that has turned sour, something dark is ignited in them both. In this bold new take on the classic cat and mouse story, two star-crossed killers are on the loose with two dysfunctional detectives in hot pursuit.
Adding: "DS Lola Franks (Eve Myles) and DI Jackson Mendy (Babou Ceesay) have to come to terms with their mismatched partnership and polar opposite outlooks on the culpability of the criminal mind as they try to outsmart the killers.
"A psychological thriller and romance, We Hunt Together explores the dangerous power of desire, and questions who is really to blame when the damaged do damage."
We told you it sounds gripping.
Speaking of the new series, Eve Myles said: "We Hunt Together is a masterpiece - it's thought-provoking and punchy, yet comic at times.
"Really looking forward to carving out this complicated character and working on these brilliant scripts."
While her co-star Babou Ceesay added: "I'm thrilled to be working with BBC Studios and UKTV on such a provocative and gritty crime drama.
"With this fantastic mix of actors, producers, directors and writer on board, we can truly create something compelling and unique."
We Hunt Together is the second series to be jointly commissioned by UKTV and BBC Studios Distribution, the first being Traces that stars Line Of Duty's Martin Compston.
