When it comes to TV shows on Netflix, nothing excites us more than the promise of a chilling documentary.
The streaming platform is set to acquire a new series from Imagine Entertainment, that will delve into America's most notoriously haunted locations and it'll be directed by Joe Berlinger, the director of The Ted Bundy Tapes.
After talking to the heads of Imagine Entertainment, Justin Wilkes and Sara Bernstein, Variety was able to describe the upcoming series as "gritty and meticulous".

Netflix UK has only just heard the news themselves, but told Tyla that Variety's report is to be "taken at face value". This news is literally hot off the press.
And given that the director Joe's former documentary series, Conversations With a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes, was such a big hit with viewers, we are excited to see what he brings to the table with this new show.
He also directed Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, a biographical film which was also about killer Ted Bundy and starred Zac Efron as the lead.

Netflix cannot yet confirm a title of the new show however, nor a release date, but they will update Tyla in due course.
Gabe Spitzer, director of original documentaries at Netflix told Variety about working with directors such as Joe Berlinger: "[...]the Imagine team have quickly built a first-rate division working with many of the industry's top documentary filmmakers.
"We're excited about the rich and compelling series coming to Netflix and look forward to sharing these with our members around the world."
The streaming giant has got a great record of delivering gripping documentaries to subscribers, so we are excited to what is in store for us all when this documentary drops, no doubt set to leave us chilled to the core.
