It sounds a bit like Prom Night but set in Compton, especially as the homecoming dance is where many murders look set to take place in the film.

The Indie film trailer from 2018, shows that the scene is set with a young lad called Chauncey who is lured into an old house by a girl named Lisa, who asks him to help her find her cat.
He replies: "Anything for you Lisa."
But as soon as the door shuts behind them, people in creepy skeleton masks appear and Lisa instructs him to "run".
As Chauncey tries to escape their clutches, he runs into yet another scary masked figure and in his panic, pushes them away.

However, the skeleton-headed human accidentally falls over the balcony onto the floor because of the shove.
It seems as though Lisa was in on it all along. She removes the mask from the young girl now laying on the floor and finds she's dead due to the impact of the fall. A prank that's gone horribly wrong.
The kids all reveal themselves as people from school and instantly accuse Chauncy of being a murderer, who is then arrested.

The other youngsters go about their high school lives as usual (apart from a few nightmares on Lisa's part) despite the fact they'd lured now jailed Chauncy into the house and scared him in the first place, leading to the death of their friend.
But four years later, they realise he's been released. Is he on the path of revenge?
It certainly looks that way from the trailer, it looks like he goes on to terrorise and stalk the group, plucking them off one by one and paying them back for what they did to him. But you don't actually see Chauncy's face - so is it him murdering everyone on homecoming weekend?
We guess we'll need to tune into watch the movie starring RZA, Jason Woods, Luke Tennie and Jessica Allain.

They might be a guilty pleasure, but we don't mind a slasher horror to scare ourselves silly with on a Friday night, so we're clearing our evening for this one.
Keep bringing 'em Netflix.
