In case you need quick reminder of what the show is about, it explored the coming-of-age stories of a group of students at the fictional Hartley High school.
The school was in a multicultural area in Sydney and at the time it aired, between 1994 to 1999, the show was considered quite gritty. Maybe the 90's own Euphoria?

Heartbreak High was praised for its hard hitting and realistic storylines, which included cults, experimenting with drugs, homelessness, teen pregnancy and racism.
In later seasons the show sifted emphasis away from the school setting to the students' home life and their time spent at the local hangout spot known as the "Shark Pool".
It aired on the BBC in the UK, entertaining 90's kids across the nation for over 200 episodes.
Australian actor Remy Hii was one of the first to react to the good news, tweeting: "I think about Heartbreak High a lot". Same.
Been thinking about it since 1999 tbh.

The show itself is a spin-off of the popular Australian feature film The Heartbreak Kid, which starred Alex Dimitriades and Claudia Karvan. Alex returned to play Nick in Heartbreak High. In the film Claudia plays a 22-year-old teacher, Christina who meets Nick in her Greek class and the two fall in love and begin to rebel.
If you're in the mood for more teen dramas from the 90s, all episodes of the incredible Dawson's Creek can also be binged on Netflix.

You can now spend your days immersed in the goings-on in the town of Capeside with Pacey, Joey, Jack, Jen, and Dawson of course, in what will feel like true 90s bliss.
Created by Kevin Williamson, the same man who wrote the screenplay for the slasher film Scream, the series follows the everyday adventures and the coming-of-age experiences of a group of American teens in the fictional seaside town of Capeside in Massachusetts.
Heartbreak High is coming to Netflix from November 27.
