Big news, Schitt's Creek fans. The sixth and final season is landing on Netflix on Thursday (14th May).

The Canadian sitcom has already aired for them on CBC, as well as US paid-for network Pop TV and Amazon Prime, and people are branding the finale "perfect" and a "masterpiece".

But now UK viewers can finally watch it on Netflix, and see how it ends for ourselves.

In the past, the UK has typically been able to watch the show around a month after America. But this time we're getting a sneak preview, as it's not expected to land on American Netflix until October. Yaaas!

The series follows the Rose family who lose their fortune after being defrauded by their business manager.

The privileged family are left with their sole remaining asset: a small town named Schitt's Creek, which Johnny (Eugene Levy) had bought for David (Daniel Levy) as a joke birthday gift in the 90s.

Forced to rebuild their life in the town, the Roses move into two rooms in a rundown motel, and we watch as Johnny, Moira, David and Alexis grow to love the area, and feel at home there.

We don't want to give too much away, so, if you don't want to know any juicy deets then stop reading now!

The entire Rose family will be returning for the final season - so get ready to welcome actors Annie Murphy, Catherine O'Hara, Dan and Eugene Levy back one last time to their roles.

Aside from the foursome, Noah Reid, who plays Patrick, Emily Hampshire (Stevie), Dustin Milligan (Ted) are all returning plus Chris Elliot, Jenn Robertson, and Sarah Levy, who play key supporting roles in the comedy.

In the grand finale, Patrick and David get married, Moira is set to return to Sunrise Bay, Johnny places a lucrative new business deal and Alexis gets ready to leave for a new life in New York.

The whole series is set to have us crying and laughing in equal measure, but it's the upcoming goodbyes outside the hotel which are really going to set us off.

"Perhaps i just needed to cry anyway but the series finale & wonderful wrap up really hit me hard," said teary-eyed fan who's already watched it on Twitter.

"This Schitts Creek finale. my god. I just had three different tears running down my face at the same time," said another.
