Pretty Woman is the perfect movie in so many ways, from its hangover watch easiness, to the modern day Cinderella plot line, and the sheer beauty of a 90s Julia Roberts. And now, everyone's favourite romantic comedy is coming to London's West End.

Yes, the musical adaptation the hit 1990 film is set to hit the UK early next year - and tickets are on sale now.

Pretty Woman: The Musical will be based on the movie starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere after a super successful run on Broadway in the US.

Running from 14th February (Valentine's Day) for just under a year until 2nd January 2021, there's ample time to catch the musical which will kick off at London's Piccadilly Theatre.

Pre-sale tickets are on sale now and there will be no booking fee for performances from 14th February 2020 to 29th February 2020 if booked by Thursday 12th September.

Right now, it hasn't been announced who will be starring in the UK musical. However, we do know that singer Bryan Adams, who was responsible for the original score in the movie, is on board to co-write music for the show with Jim Vallance.

"I know it's going to Germany this year, it opens in September this year, and then it's going to London next year. I'm excited about it," he confirmed to Press Association.

Fans of the original movie can rest easy: as it's a book musical (meaning performances are fully integrated into a narrative) by J.F. Lawton and Garry Marshall, the screenwriter and director of the original movie respectively, we can expect to see its iconic scenes included.

The musical will be directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell (whose past productions include Legally Blonde and Kinky Boots).

It also features scenic design by David Rockwell, costume design by Gregg Barnes, sound design by John Shivers and lighting design by Kenneth Posner and Philip S. Rosenberg, and orchestrations and musical arrangements by Will Van Dyke.

Samantha Barks and Andy Karl took on the lead roles of Vivian and Edward, depicted in the film by Roberts and Gere, to much praise.

Pretty Woman tells the story of businessman Edward (Gere) who comes across sex worker Vivian (Roberts) and is instantly taken by her charms. Before long, he offers her $3,000 to stay with him for six days, which she accepts, accompanying him to high profile events and getting a whole new wardrobe in the process.

Despite their completely different worlds, and what began as a customer-employee relationship, Edward and Vivian fall in love.
