We're ready to don a beret and strut through cobbled streets with a bag of fresh pastries, because Netflix just dropped the official teaser trailer for Lily Collins' Emily in Paris.

The comedy drama's American-girl-in-Paris theme is giving us all kinds of Sex and the City and Devil Wears Prada vibes, from the snappy dialogue to the chic fashion.

If you loved the the SATC episode that follows Carrie as she moves to the French capital with her Russian lover Aleksandr Petrovsky, then this series is for you - and what's more, it comes from the same legendary creator, Darren Starr.

Lily stars as lead character Emily Collins, a smart young woman from Chicago who relocates to Paris for an exciting new job opportunity. Watch the teaser here:

Landing on Netflix on 2nd October, the 10-part series sees savvy twenty-something marketing exec Emily land in the city of lights and learn to navigate her new lifestyle.

Cue a whirlwind montage of awkward boardroom meetings (we just know the American-Paris culture clash is going to result in some hilarious mishaps), champagne-fuelled soirées and French love interests.

Just like Devil Wears Prada and the SATC episode following Carrie's big move to Paris, the series serves rom-com with a side of couture, and focuses on the theme of new beginnings.

Starring alongside Lily are Ashley Park (Mean Girls on Broadway, Tales of the City), Philippine Leroy Beaulieu (Call My Agent!), Lucas Bravo (Smart Ass), Samuel Arnold (Antony & Cleopatra), Camille Razat (The 15:17 to Paris) and Bruno Gouery (Doc Martin).

Elsewhere on the cast list are Kate Walsh (The Umbrella Academy), William Abadie (Resident Evil: Extinction) and Arnaud Viard (Clara et Moi).

Netflix said of the plot: "Emily's new life in Paris is filled with intoxicating adventures and surprising challenges as she juggles winning over her work colleagues, making friends, and navigating new romances."

To which we say, mais oui!
