Titled Christmas on the Square, the festive film is described as a holiday musical and stars Dolly herself as she takes on a scrooge-like businesswoman intent on ruining Christmas.
"Seasonal cheer comes to a screeching halt when a cold-hearted woman tries to sell her hometown's land. Can music, magic and memories change her mind?" reads the film's synopsis on the streaming service.
Take a look at the trailer here:
"This Christmas have a Dolly holiday," the trailer teases. Cue lots of festive scenes played out to the backdrop of Dolly Parton music.
However, we soon learn that "there's a new Scrooge in town," and we see cruel businesswoman Regina Fuller, played by Mamma Mia's Christine Baranski, causing havoc in her hometown, by selling its land and ordering all its residents to move out.
When Regina then announces that the deadline for all of the town's residents to be out of their homes is Christmas Eve, the town is aghast. Enter Dolly!
Dolly stars in the festive film as an angel (naturally!) alongside the star-studded cast.
"What do you want from me?" Regina asks her in one scene.
"Change," the angel casually replies.
The angel then tries to convince Regina of her cruel ways and sets out to soften her heart along the way.
"You find that light and it will lead you to the part of you you lost," she explains.
"What might that be?" Regina replies.
"The part that can be happy."
Featuring 14 original songs written by Dolly Parton, Christmas on the Square also stars Jenifer Lewis, Treat Williams, Jeanine Mason, Josh Segarra and Mary Lane Haskell as some of the townspeople and is directed by Fame and Grey's Anatomy star Debbie Allen.
Christmas on the Square is available to stream on Netflix from Sunday 22nd November. We can't wait for this one!
