Tonight's episode of Made in Chelsea looks set to be extra emotional, as Zara McDermott tearfully confesses to cheating on Sam Thompson a year ago.

Made in Chelsea's official Twitter account shared a sneak peak of the dramatic episode, which airs tonight at 9pm.

You can watch the preview for yourself here:

Sitting down with fellow cast members Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing, Zara suddenly bursts into tears.

"I've had the worst day of my life," she says, crying.

"What's happened?," asks a visibly shocked Habbs.

Distraught Zara responds: "I did something really bad around a year ago and I slept with someone."

Later, Jamie quizzes Sam on whether the pair have spoken.

Sam, looking broken, says: "I haven't spoken to her since I found out. I said I needed to have a bit of space. It's so tough. She was the one. I don't think I've got the strength to bin it."

It comes after Zara shared a public apology on social media for the "pain, the embarrassment, the anger and the hurt" she had put her ex through by cheating.

"All I want to do is make this right and I think the least he deserves is me being honest with myself and all of you," she wrote to her fans at the start of October.

"I love you Sam. Forever."

The former Love Island star also shared a video montage of romantic moments shared with Sam.

Sam previously made reference to the couple's recent split in an Instagram post showing him sitting in bed with his PS4 remote control, captioned: "How it's gotta be for the next few months (until the ps5 comes out)."

A few days earlier, he shared an image of him and BFF, TOWIE star Pete Wicks, writing: "Thank you so much for putting up with me for the past week @p_wicks01 I'm incredibly lucky to have people I can lean on when I'm down.

"I know you're not the soppy type, but you really are the brother I never had. I love you mate."

Aw, Sam!
