ITV Is Screening Both 'The Holiday' And 'Love Actually' This Christmas And OMG

It's almost time to settle in with some wine and get stuck into a good movie or two.

Watching films over the festive season is almost as mandatory as putting up a Christmas tree adorned with baubles and over-ordering on booze and snacks.

Which is why we're delighted ITV has released its Christmas TV line up and it includes both The Holiday and Love Actually.

They just happen to be two of our favourite festive films ever, so that is wonderfully convenient.

Love Actually will appear on the terrestrial channel in the slump between Christmas and New Year's Eve - AKA the best time for TV. The madness is over, you've had enough of squabbling over board games with relatives, you're no longer required to entertain and you can FINALLY settle in front of a fabulous film.

The film - which has a stellar cast including Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Bill Nighy, Emma Thompson, Colin Firth and Alan Rickman (to name a few) - is a feel good movie.

You know, apart from that heart-wrenching scene with Emma's character Karen. We're tearing up just thinking about it, tbh.

But The Holiday, set to air on 30th December - another chilled day where we're all resting in preparation for New Year's Eve - certainly comes close to rivalling it with Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Jack Black and Cameron Diaz starring.

It tells the story of Iris and Amanda who swap homes in the Cotswolds and LA for the holidays, and gain a lot more than they bargained for along the way.

It has major feel-good factor and it might be a little cheesy, but it's Christmas and who doesn't love cheese in the holiday season?

Other highlights on the ITV roster include Elf and Santa Clause: The Movie, both showing on Christmas Eve at 5.15pm and 2.40pm, respectively.

Whilst Skyfall will be shown at 8.30pm on Boxing Day. And really, what is Christmas without a good Bond movie?
