What the Dumbledore?!

There's a lot of things that signal Christmas: festive songs on the radio, pigs-in-blankets in the shops, and for many - Harry Potter films becoming a TV regular.

Radio Times, the holders of all things TV, confirmed the news with an article explaining how you can watch all the Harry Potter films on various subscription services - as they aren't on TV. Boo.

"At this point, we only know of one Harry Potter film that you can watch on TV this December - but if and when that changes, we'll be updating this article," they write - so there's at least some hope.

The one film they're taking about is Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 which aired on Sunday 1st December on ITV.

The channel aired the finale in the franchise as the culmination of a three-month-long Sunday evening run of all eight movies, starting with the Philosopher's Stone on September 8th.

So in fairness, we have had a chance to watch them this year, albeit a little earlier than usual.

But all is not lost, if you're desperate to indulge in some wizarding goodness this Christmas holidays, you can watch every film in the franchise on Now TV and Sky from 23rd December.

If you can't wait until then, you can get hold of the films from Sky Store (buy the boxset for £42.99) and Amazon Prime (£3.49 each to rent and £9.99 to keep).

As much as we love HP, though, the line-up of Christmas films that have made the cut instead is stellar this year.

These include:
