With the news of Gavin & Stacey making a comeback this Christmas, we thought we'd throw it back to this classic scene where Smithy gets annoyed about sharing his Indian takeaway.

We've all been there before. You and your family or friends have ordered different things off the takeaway menu. But when it arrives, they get food envy of your order and help themselves to your plate.

Or maybe you're the one that always gets food envy? Either way we can all relate.

It seems like 2019 is the gift that keeps on giving - at least when it comes to television as Gavin & Stacey is making a comeback this Christmas for an hour-long special episode.

Announcing the big news on Twitter, co-writer and star of the show, James Corden shared a pic of a script, writing: "Ruth Jones and I have been keeping this secret for a while.

"We're excited to share it with you. See you on Christmas Day ⁦‪@BBCOne⁩ ‪#GavinandStacey."

This news comes nine years after the show came off air after a New Year's Day finale in 2010.

The cast have previously said that they would be happy for the show to make a comeback as they all get along well.

In 2017, Rob Brydon who played uncle Bryn almost predicted the Christmas special.

He told The Sun: "If James and Ruth want to do it then I think we'd all do it. It's them really. I think it's a real balance between, 'Let's leave it on a high, people love it,' but there's also a big feeling of, 'Oh it would be so lovely to get back together and do a special'."

He added: "Just one Christmas special, that would be nice. In the past I've always said I don't want to do anymore because I wanted to leave it on a high, but I must admit, mellowing in my old age, I'm thinking now, it would be lovely because everyone likes each other."

We're so glad they decided on the latter.
