Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina Part Four To Arrive On Netflix On 31st December

Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina Part Four To Arrive On Netflix On 31st December

Big news to all fans of Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina: the witchy show is back for Part Four on the 31st of December.

We don't know about you, but we've just scrapped *all* our New Year's Eve plans...

Sharing the date on social media, Netflix UK & Ireland wrote: "Spooky news: Part 4 of Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina comes to Netflix on 31 December".

The official Twitter account for the Netflix series then also announced it's imminent return, releasing a first look trailer to accompany the revelation.

Check it out below:

In the trailer, we're treated to a juxtaposition of Sabrina's relatively normal teenage life and her life in Hell, as Sabrina embarks on her most dangerous mission yet.

"We have never faced a peril such as this," Sabrina is told in the clip.

But just what is going down in Greendale?!

Well, the fourth season will see The Eldritch Terrors falling upon the town, and it will fall to the coven to fight each horrifying threat as it rocks up.

The terrors include The Weird, The Returned and The Darkness, but these all lead up to The Void, which is basically the End of All Things (no biggie, then).

The witches work as hard as they can to wade this threat off, with the help of The Fright Club. Meanwhile Nick works on winning Sabrina back.

We're not sure which will be a tougher mission, tbh.

If the next instalment is anything like the last, it's set to be dramatic. In Season 3, Sabrina travelled to Hell to rescue Nick from Lilith's (Michelle Gomez) clutches and joined the Baxter High cheerleading team.

Former Sabrina was crowned Queen of Hell and present Sabrina was allowed to return to her ordinary life in Greendale, with her aunts and mortal friends.

But it's expected her decision to split into two separate people will have "huge repercussions" for Season four.

Eeeek.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa told The Wrap that part four will follow the two Sabrina's "simultaneously going forward".

He also explained each episode would be like its own mini horror movie. "Each part has its own kind of identity," he said.

"Part 4 is different from Part 3, where a lot of it was set in Hell, we still have that. But each episode of Part 4 is like its own mini horror movie, which is exciting."

"[...] And Greendale becomes a battle ground for this really epic battles between evil and good and horror and sanity and it's huge, it's big."

The fourth season will also be the last on Netflix, to fans' dismay.

After the news broke back in July, showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa said: "Working on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been an incredible honor from day one

"The cast, beginning with Kiernan as everyone's favorite teen witch, has been an absolute joy. I am beyond thankful to the crew, writers, editors, assistants, and everyone for pouring so much love into this dark dream of a show.

"I'm also grateful to our partners at Netflix, Warner Bros., Berlanti Television and Archie Comics for letting us tell the story we wanted to tell, the way we wanted to tell it. We can't wait for everyone to see part four."

At least the fourth and final instalment of the show sounds totally epic, right?
