Netflix To Release A Christmas Special Of Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina

Netflix has just confirmed that a one-off festive special of the dark and twisted Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will air this Christmas.

Sabrina, Aunt Zelda, Aunt Hilda and the rest of the coven gang will be returning to the subscription streaming service for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter's Tale.

The single episode will debut on Netflix on Friday, 14th December, and until then you can see a glimpse of it in Netflix's Christmas sizzle reel:

The Spellmans and their coven will gather round the yule fire for winter solstice to sing carols and tell ghost stories on the longest night of the year. Elements of the episode will continue the storyline that season one ended on. Of course, there will be some spooks to send shivers down viewers' spines.

As the streaming platform puts it: "The Church of Night, like all covens, celebrates the Winter Solstice - the longest night of the year - when families gather around the Yule Fire to sing pagan carols and tell ghost stories. But the holidays are also a time for guests and visitors - both welcome and unwelcome - you never know what might come down the chimney..."

Kiernan Shipka will return as Sabrina Spellman, with Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis, Ross Lynch, Michelle Gomez and Chance Perdomo starring once again.

They'll be joined by Jaz Sinclair, Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph, Abigail Cowen and Lachlan Watson, who are all reprising their roles in the festive special.

Netflix shared an image of the cast to announce the news on Instagram, as well as an image of Salem the cat getting into the festive spirit.

The news of a Christmas special of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has gone down a storm with fans.

"Christmas Soltice Special Sabrina?! Oh well player Netflix, well played," exclaimed one.

And another fan tweeted: "Omg @sabrinanetflix has been given a Christmas special episode and I am hype. I cant wait to have more of this universe and character."

Filming for season two of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is already in action, although there is no release date as of yet.
