If you're looking for something other than a fuzzy feeling festive flick this holiday season, then we might have the crime thriller for you.
Awake is Netflix's latest cinematic addition, which is full of suspense, action and Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
The film, which was released in July this year, follows Meyers' character after an accident leaves him with no recollection of who he is.
Waking up in a hospital and handcuffed to the bed, his character soon realises he is the prime suspect in the search for a serial killer targeting young women.
The official synopsis reads: "On a quiet evening, a shabby beige sedan speeds down a country highway. Dust and gravel fly through the air when suddenly the car slides out of control into a ravine.
"Later a man wakes up in a hospital bed with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. His nurse Diana (Francesca Eastwood) is unable to find any identification and refers to him as John Doe (Meyers)."

"The fugitives then set off for the last crime scene in search of clues and answers to clear John's name but the benevolent nurse will soon uncover the shocking truth behind the amnesiac's identity and the web of deceit that will lead him to a final fight for his survival."
Sounds gripping, we know.
Starring alongside Meyers in the Aleksandr Chernyaev-directed film is Halloween's William Forsythe, Designated Survivor star Malik Yoba and Oscar-winner Clint Eastwood's daughter Francesca.
Despite the rousing synopsis, the film hasn't fared well on Rotten Tomatoes, where it received an audience rating of only 17 per cent. But if you're a fan of Meyers' viewers have highly recommended it.
Awake is available to stream on Netflix now.
