Molly-Mae Hague Begs Fans Not To Buy Puppy Imports After Harrowing Death Of Her Dog

Molly-Mae Hague Begs Fans Not To Buy Puppy Imports After Harrowing Death Of Her Dog

Love Island influencer Molly-Mae Hague has urged animal-loving fans to steer clear of importing pets from abroad.

The 21-year-old is speaking out following the death of her beloved Pomeranian pooch Mr. Chow, who sadly died just a week after Molly received the dog as a gift for her birthday earlier this year.

The four and a half months old puppy had been imported from Russia, and passed away after suffering from a seizure.

Discussing the harrowing experience, Molly has expressed regret at having the dog imported from abroad - and is now hoping others can learn from her mistakes in order to protect animal welfare worldwide.

She is now taking legal action against the breeder who sold her the dog.

"If we had our chance again, we wouldn't have imported from Russia," Molly-Mae explained to The Sun.

"The autopsy result showed that his skull wasn't fully developed and he didn't have a white blood cell left in his body.

Molly and her boyfriend Tommy Fury, also 21, faced harsh criticism following news of the dog's sudden death - with Molly choosing to take time away from social media as she grieved for her beloved pup.

She then made a YouTube video explaining that Mr. Chow's death was not because of the long journey the pooch faced because he was imported.

"Yes, if we had our chance again we wouldn't have imported from Russia," she told the camera while weeping.

"While we understand everyone's opinions about him being shipped over from Russia, you need to understand that this is not what made that baby dog pass away. That's not what made him die.

"He was going to die regardless. If we had the time again we would have got a dog from the UK or got a rescue dog from the UK.

"We are not asking for any sympathy. We don't deserve any sympathy. What's happened is awful and I'm just asking for you to understand that a dog travelling from Russia is not the reason why he died."
