The telly and radio star, 49, broke into the pitch-perfect impersonation during her breakfast show on Tuesday, which she co-hosts with Jamie Theakston.
You can watch the video here:
Amanda's impression of Thatcher came during a segment on season 4 of Netflix's The Crown, which sees Gillian Anderson playing the famous politician.
Launching into the impressive impersonation, Amanda said: "I really like her [Gillian Anderson] as Margaret Thatcher."
Showbiz reporter and fellow host Ashley Roberts, 39, was visibly impressed.
"Oh my God, that's so good!" exclaimed Ashley.
Amanda continued, laughing: "I used to do that when I was eight - along with Gladys Pugh from Hi-De-Hi."
Elaborating on how to mimic the former Prime Minister, Amanda explained that everything Thatcher said was "very measured, with a slight head tilt".
It comes as Gillian Anderson's performance as Thatcher becomes one of the hit show's main talking points online.
The actress completely transformed both her mannerisms and her voice for the TV role, producing what many thought was a mirror image of the controversial Conservative Prime Minister as she was first elected in 1979, and throughout her 11 years in office.
"There's really no need to hold any type of ceremony. Just send Gillian Anderson her awards now @TheEmmys @goldenglobes," one viewer wrote after seeing the actress in action.
Meanwhile, another concurred: "Gillian Anderson deserves every. single. award. for playing Thatcher so incredibly."
Wasting no time piling on the praise, a third penned: "I'm 22 minutes into the new season of #TheCrown and all I can say is, give Gillian Anderson every award now!! @GillianA @TheCrownNetflix".
Gillian's performance has certainly won her praise - but going by this clip, Amanda might be able to give her a run for her money.
