Jamie Lynn Spears has ‘promised’ a Zoey 101 reboot is in the works.
Nickelodeon fans will remember the series which sees Jamie playing the title character of Zoey Brooks who settles into her new Malibu-based boarding school, The Pacific Coast Academy.
The new girl then goes on to meet the likes of Chase Matthews (Sean Flynn), Lola Martinez (Victoria Justice) and Logan Reese (Matthew Underwood), as well as running into drama and romance along the way.
The series recently dropped on Netflix and understandably, fans went crazy over the box set, prompting the actor to note on Instagram that the show made it to the Top 10 on the streaming platform.
Now, 14 years on from the series ending and the 31-year-old has vowed that the 'story isn’t finished'.
She wrote on Instagram: “Umm, so Zoey is Top 10 on Netflix! This show, and the fans of this show mean the absolute world to me.
“I know y’all have been patiently waiting, so all I’m gonna say is I PROMISE this story isn’t finished…”
Fans are really excited about the prospect of the show, with one fan urging the star: “Jamie Lynn need to stop teasing a Zoey 101 reboot of it ain’t coming. I don’t play about that show.”
“I would so love to see a reboot please #Zoey101 they don’t make TV like this nowadays and if they did not one person could give you s*** for watching such a great show,” another fan wrote.
Another fan tweeted: “We need this Zoey 101 reboot Asap @Nickelodeon with the original cast.”
However, some fans are divided over the upcoming new series being that Jamie was so involved in her older sister Britney Spears’ conservatorship.
“We won’t be watching,” one person commented in light of this.

“They should have a Zoey 101 reboot but cast Britney Spears,” a different viewer tweeted.
The recently-married pop superstar criticised those 'closest' to her for not speaking up on her behalf, as well as directly addressing her sister in a scathing Instagram post in April - which has since been archived or deleted.
Britney wrote in the post post: “I don't like that my sister showed up at an awards show and performed MY SONGS to remixes!!!!!”
“My so-called support system hurt me deeply,” Britney added in her post. "This conservatorship killed my dreams...so all I have is hope and hope is the only thing in this world that is very hard to kill...yet people still try!!!!
“There's nothing worse than when the people closest to you who never showed up for you post things in regard to your situation whatever it may be and speak righteously for support”.
Britney referred to the fact that Jamie Lynn performed one of her songs, ‘Til The World Ends at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards to honour her icon award.
Jamie Lynn also said in an interview on ABC’s Good Morning America that she was not focused on Britney’s conservatorship at the time because she was 'a 17-year-old about to have a baby' and claimed she 'didn’t understand' the legal agreement.
