Victoria Beckham faces backlash over 12-year-old Harper's 'inappropriate' birthday dress
The celeb mum has come under fire for a recent post
Victoria Beckham is known for having a passion for fashion, but some of her followers aren't loving one of her daughter's latest looks.
The former Spice Girl took to Instagram over the weekend to share some pics from her daughter Harper's 12th birthday celebrations.

David and Victoria took their youngest child to the chic Prada Caffè in Harrods, London, on Friday (7 July) ahead of her birthday today (10 July).
They were also joined by Harper's older brothers Romeo and Cruz.
In the snaps, Victoria is wearing a floor length black strap dress, while Harper poses in a silky purple dress.
While the majority of the comments on the post were complimentary towards the mother and daughter duo, there were some who took issue with Harper's outfit.
Some felt that the dress wasn't appropriate for a young girl to wear, likening its design to lingerie.
One furious commenter wrote: "She is a child in lingerie. It's not right," while another wrote: "Can't imagine letting a 12 year old wear a slip dress. That is not age appropriate as everyone is saying."
A fellow critic said: "Why is your preteen dressed in bed wear? Weird."
Another disapproving follower remarked: "A lingerie style dress for a 12 year old girl isn’t appropriate at all. She’s super cute, her angel face doesn’t go well with that type of dress."
However, the feeling wasn't universal among all of Victoria's 31 million followers, as many came to her defence and praised her parenting.
One supporter commented: "Lovely to see a well dressed no make up young person. She’s a credit to you both."
Another wrote: "Oh my goodness. Watching her grow up to be this beautiful young girl has been fun. Nearly tall as you."
Victoria's Instagram account is never far from a bit of buzz.
In May, she sent her fans into a fluster by sharing a picture of hubby David in a pair of see-through boxers to celebrate his birthday.

The snap saw the former footballer emerging from a hot tub, with only a pair of Calvin Kleins and a woolly hat on.
Many fans were appreciative of Victoria's post and rushed to the comments to praise her, with one writing: "Thank you Victoria... from all the women in the world."
Another added: "God bless you Victoria."
For a lot of her followers, it was simply an opportunity to express how jealous they were.
