Stacey Solomon celebrates ‘smashing it’ as a mum after worrying she’s been doing a ‘rubbish’ job

The mum-of-five recently welcomed baby daughter Belle with her husband Joe Swash

Mother-of-five Stacey Solomon has celebrated 'smashing' life as a mum after worrying she’s been doing a 'rubbish' job.

In a recent Instagram post, the 33-year-old - who recently welcomed baby daughter Belle with her husband Joe Swash - says she felt 'superhuman today' rather than constantly giving herself a hard time, like she usually does.

She admits that the job of looking after five is 'not easy', while also reminding herself that it's important not to forget 'that you’re doing amazing, even when you feel like you’re not'.

Alongside a series of snaps of the kids on Insta, Stacey wrote: "Proud. Feeling like I smashed it today.

"Don’t mind if I sound big headed but I felt like a superhuman today.

"For some reason lately I’ve found it easy to tell myself that I’m failing or doing a rubbish job & I never tell myself how well I'm doing.

"Three 3 & under & two teenagers is wonderful but it’s not easy.

"Joe did a night feed for me last night & then went to work.

"So we did the school runs and then afterwards I managed to make it for the first time EVER to Rhyme time at the library with Rex, Rose & Belle."

The Loose Women panellist says that a recent visit to her mum's helped her get out a rut.

"Spent some time with other mums & felt so nice to see Rex & Belle enjoying being out of the house," she added.

"Then we stayed out as long as we could, came home, played play dough shops, did tuna pasta dinner & this evening was swimming lesson for Rexy.

"Now we are home & I’m ready to collapse on the sofa & start the cluster feeds.

"Sorry for the essay. but basically just a little reminder that you’re doing amazing, even when you feel like you’re not.

"You’re so incredible don’t forget to tell yourself that sometimes."

Stacey broke the news of her pregnancy on 28 December and a few weeks later, newborn Belle came into the world on 11 February

"Belle. Our little Belle. Our beautiful, delicate baby girl," the mum wrote.

"Who will forever remind us of the bluebells that are about to bloom as you bring the spring with you into the world."
