Cheryl has paid her respects towards Sarah Harding on what would have been her 40th birthday.
The 38-year-old, who rocketed to fame alongside Sarah as part of Girls Aloud, has taken to Instagram to pay tribute to Sarah, after she tragically died from breast cancer in September this year.
Sharing a vignette of videos featuring Sarah during their time together in the girl band, Cheryl captioned the post: “Memories may be all we’re left with, but they’re enough to last a lifetime.”

Cheryl has been taking time away from the spotlight after the news that Sarah had died.
Alongside her bandmates, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh and Nadine Coyle, Cheryl cancelled scheduled performances in order to grieve her loss.

“My heart is heavy. Grief is such a harsh experience and an absolute rollercoaster of emotions. Questions without answers and pain without resolve. So tumultuous and constant.
“With that said I am so sorry but I really am not emotionally, mentally or physically able to perform for you this Saturday at Birmingham Pride.
“I apologise wholeheartedly and I can only hope for your understanding. (I promise I will make it up to you somehow.)
“I feel now I just need some time to sit with my feelings and process the grief. Nothing prepares you for this bit.”
Sarah revealed on social media in 2020 that she had been battling breast cancer, which had spread to other parts of the body.
