Paying homage to her Instagram username, Rihanna has been accused of being a 'bad gal' for apparently 'worshipping the devil' during her epic 2023 Super Bowl halftime show.

The Barbadian bombshell kicked off her live performance suspended high above the Arizona stadium on Sunday (12 February), while wearing a deep red jumpsuit with an army of dancers dressed in white below her.

The 34-year-old, who is in a relationship with A$AP Rocky, also displayed her baby bump, which marks her second pregnancy, nine months after the birth of her son in May 2022.

Rihanna brought out all the hits - I mean there are just so many - as 'B***h Better Have My Money', 'We Found Love' and 'Umbrella' all made an appearance.

The mega 13-minute set also included, 'Only Girl (In the World)', 'Rude Boy', 'Work' and 'Wild Thoughts'.

Despite what many would call an 'amazing' performance, the singer has been accused of worshipping the devil.

New York Times best selling author Brigitte Gabriel tweeted: "Why do all the major live performances by woke artists have a demonic feeling?

"Sam Smith, now Rihanna, Hollyweird has gone insane."

As expecting, RiRi fans flooded the replies section, with one person writing: "Does the color red trigger MAGA? There was nothing Satanic about that performance.

"One of the more mild performances during a Super Bowl I have seen in a while. If this was woke, you need to go back to sleep."

Another added: "Yeah, this is weird. Satan hasn’t even gone on record about his favorite color."

However, some users did agree with Gabriel, as one wrote: "Agree can't watch."

"They secretly like the MAGA color," another added, while someone else said: "Trying to top each other in the 'edgy' department. Kind of sad and pathetic."

Tyla has contacted Rihanna's reps for comment.

Prior to her performance Rihanna said that it was 'important' for representation and that she was excited to bring her homeland of Barbados to the world.

“Representing for immigrants, representing for my country Barbados, representing for black women everywhere… I just think that’s really important, (it’s) key for people to see the possibilities, and I’m honoured to be doing this,” she said.

“It’s a long way from home. It’s a beautiful journey that I’m on, and I could have never guessed that I would have made it here.

“So it’s a celebration of that. I’m excited to do that and I’m really excited to have Barbados on the Super Bowl.”
