Rihanna Fans Are Sharing How They 'Knew' She Was Pregnant
This is just ridiculous!
Still reeling over the news that Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are expecting a baby together, fans are pinpointing the exact moment they 'knew' that the singer was pregnant.
As with any celebrity, Rihanna has been bombarded with speculation on her pregnancy long before she was with child.
While some Rihanna stans were shocked with news, other eagle-eyed fans were adamant that they've known for months - and some of the claims are insane!
Reacting to the news of her pregnancy, one fan said that she noticed as soon as Rihanna' started switching up her fashion choices, tweeting: "I knew she was pregnant w/ them big a** clothes & flat shoes. Rihanna never wear sneakers bro."
Another wrote: "I knew Rihanna was pregnant. Not because she’s been wearing big clothes but because she hasn’t been seen with her casual blunt and glass of red wine"
A lot of fans pinpointed last year's Met Gala as the moment they suspected RiRi was expecting.
The Fenty fashion mogul arrived on the iconic red carpet with A$AP by her side, wearing a black Balenciaga overcoat.
Others are say they noticed it when Rihanna accepted a National Hero award in Barbados back in November, claiming that they could tell by her figure. Sure, guys...
One fan tweeted: "I’m sure we all knew Rihanna was pregnant when she was holding her belly accepting that award not too long ago."
A second added: "I knew Rihanna was pregnant when she was getting that national hero award. The dress she had on gave it tf away."
We're struggling to believe some of these claims, considering poor RiRi has been fending off these rumours for years.
One fed up fan argued: "everyone acting like they knew Rihanna was pregnant when y'all have been saying she is pregnant since 2018."
Expert midwife and founder of Mummy Organics Odette Abououf warned that speculating too heavily on people's pregnancies - famous or not - could unintentionally be extremely upsetting.
She told Tyla: "Even when your pregnancy is well under way and the second trimester scan is reassuring, pregnancy is still a very private event for many women who may be hormonal, suffering from pregnancy sickness and feeling the need for a little more privacy.
"Speculations from people about a woman’s pregnancy are often well meant but can on occasion cause upset or anxiety: your bump is really big, too small, very low, very high etc."
Rihanna and A$AP announced their pregnancy in an informal NYC photoshoot on Monday and pretty much broke the internet.
The couple started dating publicly in November 2020 after months of speculation following her split from Hassan Jameel.
In a May 2021 interview with GQ, Rocky opened up their relationship and called Rihanna the One. "She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones,” he said.
They're just the cutest.
