Malin Andersson Praised For Sharing 'Inspiring' Candid Pics Of C-Section Scar

Malin Andersson has been praised for showing off her C-section scar in a new photoshoot.

The former Love Island star posed nude for Cosmopolitan UK’s This Is My Body campaign and said on Instagram that she wants her followers to, "celebrate our bodies this summer… and every day."

One particular shot that has been lauded with praise is a photo of the 29-year-old proudly showing off her C-section scar.

In the snap, the body positivity influencer covered her chest with her hands while her underwear was slightly pulled down to reveal her scar.

Since sharing the shoot on social media, the photo has been met with messages of support, with many calling the former reality TV star “inspirational” and “beautiful”.

One wrote on Twitter: “Love this. This is the type of body positivity I want to see more of.

“We all have insecurities about our bodies regardless of size or shape, but we need more visuals of real body types in order for us to embrace our scars and natural curves and not be ashamed of our bodies.”

Another said that Malin’s shoot made her think twice about her body and penned: “This morning something miraculous happened. I caught sight of my naked body in the mirror and I didn’t recoil.

“I actually thought I looked alright! Later I saw this [Malin’s new body positive photoshoot] [love heart emoji].”

A third simply wrote: “Inspirational” while another shared, “What a beautiful WOMAN”.

Malin welcomed her daughter Xaya in January, three years after the death of her baby Consy, at just four-and-a-half weeks old.

Speaking to publication about how she views her body now following her pregnancies, Malin shared: “Our bodies change, that's the point of them.

“My body is never going to go back to how it was - I shouldn't expect it to, I don't want it to.”

What a powerful message.

Her new shoot comes two months after she revealed that she had split from her boyfriend Jared following the birth of their daughter.

At the time, the former Love Island star announced the news on social media and wrote: “I have always prided myself on being open and transparent on here, so I wanted to let you all know that myself and Jared are no longer together.

“We split around 4 weeks ago and I have been trying to come to terms with everything and process it all.

“We are co-parenting Xaya as of course she comes first in all of this, but we would appreciate some space as we navigate through this separation.

She added: “I don’t want to go into any more detail at the moment, my baby girl is my main priority and I am building myself back up with what fuels my strength – friends, family, exercise and meditation.
