Kim Kardashian shares what really led to her split from Pete Davidson

Kim Kardashian shares what really led to her split from Pete Davidson

The couple split in August last year following a period of nine months together.

Ahead of the release of season three of The Kardashians, Kim has revealed what really went on in regards to her split with Pete Davidson.

Kim was first linked to Pete after an appearance on the latter's Saturday Night Live in 2021, and were first spotted hand-in-hand in October 2021.

But their romance was very much short-lived as they announced their separation in August last year, less than a year into their relationship.

The former couple were in the spotlight a lot as you'd imagine, and were often criticised by Ye, aka Kanye West, during that time.

Kim's separation from Pete was her first major one since her divorce from Ye, and she has now opened up on the reason for the spilt.

But first, the SKIMS founder revealed during the premiere of The Kardashians season three she is not ready for a relationship just yet.

During a conversation with sister Khloé Kardashian and Scott Disick, she said: "OK, I'm single. I'm single and I'm not ready to mingle and that's OK."

Kim added that herself and Pete did not have a bad breakup and even had conversations about it before they officially went their separate ways.

"Breakups are just not my thing...I'm proud of myself," she continued.

"It’s just, I’m proud of myself. I mean, we just had talks and talks. Like, we had been talking about it.

"So it was just like, both of us just like communicating really well about it. It's obviously sad."

The SKIMS founder then discussed how she felt a lot of guilt when she split up with the Saturday Night Live star.

"There was a lot of guilt," Kim conceded before adding: "He went through a lot because of my relationship."

The confessions didn't stop there though, as Kim admitted to some concerns about finding a partner in the future.

"I go back and forth in my feelings sometimes like, 'Uh, who's ever gonna wanna date me? I have four kids, I'm in my 40s, you know? Like, oh my god, who's gonna wanna deal with the drams?'" Kim said.

She added: "But my person will be like, 'F*** all of that, it's gonna be hard but we're together and we're gonna do this.' So I'm just waiting for that person."

Elsewhere in the season three premiere, Kim opened up about her divorce with West.

"There’s been a lot going on with Kanye right now," she said.

"I think at this point, I just assume everything I text Kanye is gonna be put on the internet.

"I think I can handle anything, I just get really heartbroken for my mom, that she has to deal with so much from so many different sides."
