Karlie Kloss announces she’s pregnant with second child at Met Gala

Model, Karlie Kloss, has announced at the 2023 Met Gala that she is pregnant with her second child.
The model, who hasn't been shy about making a statement at the Met Gala, announced that she is expecting baby number two with her husband, Josh Kushner, this year.
She revealed he pregnancy wearing a figure-hugging Loewe dress, which is apparently inspired by Karl Lagerfeld’s iconic trompe l’oeil dress.
According to the Met Museum, the trompe l’oeil dress is a classic Chanel which was originally part of his first collection back in 1983.

The museum writes: “This design from that first effort cites one of his favoured looks, a black dress adorned with a mass of costume jewellery. Lagerfeld’s embroidered trompe l’oeil baubles, executed by the specialist...are a witty take on Chanel’s embrace of fake jewellery.”
Kloss debuted the floor-length gown on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum this evening (May 1, and accessorised with a huge string of pearls and high Jimmy Choo heels.
This is Kloss’s first public appearance since the beginning of April, so no wonder she’s been able to keep her pregnancy under wraps until now.
While she hasn’t made a verbal statement regarding her baby, announcing it at the fashion event of the year is a pretty good way to go about getting the news out there. Sometimes showing really is better than telling.
This will be Kloss’s second child with Kushner, with the pair sharing Levi, born March 2021.
At the time of Levi’s birth, Kloss told People that she fell in love with her son instantly.
“It’s just the most profound experience that I had no idea [about] until having a kid,” she said.
“Everything changes. I think the last few years have changed us as well but becoming a mom? I have become, first of all, so much more efficient with my time. I’m actually on time everywhere now.”
Levi was actually at the Mark Hotel with Kloss while she got ready for the Met Gala. She revealed that her son had come to help her by posting a picture on her Instagram story with the caption: “My favourite visitor”.
Kloss attended the Met Gala with her husband, Kushner, who she married in 2018.
According to People, the pair tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in upstate New York.
The guest list at the time was star-studded and featured famous faces such as Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom and Derek Blasberg.
