Justin Timberlake Apologises To Fans For His 'Drunk Dad' Dancing

Justin Timberlake Apologises To Fans For His 'Drunk Dad' Dancing

The American singer says sorry to his fans for his dodgy dancing

All celebrities can be a bit cringe from time to time, but during the Something in the Water music festival, Justin Timberlake went full-on dad-mode.

Making a surprise appearance on Pharrell's set, the Suit & Tie singer stayed for a few songs before showcasing some questionable dance moves which he has since apologised to his fans for.

The 13-second-long video went viral, racking up for 6.3 million views in less than a week.

The short video shows Timberlake preparing for a dance breakdown, cheering: "DC, beat your feet!" before some very questionable choreography.

And fans most certainly did not hold back with roasting the 41-year-old.

One Twitter user wrote: "Why is he dressed like he’s going to his kid's after school fundraiser BBQ?"

"I see he is in his middle school English teacher showing off at the spring dance phase," commented another.

JT has had to apologise for his cringe dance moves.

A third Twitter user even compared JT's dodgy moves to the Hokey Cokey dance: "You put your right foot in, you take your right foot out, you take your right foot in, and you shake it all about…"

Another took the 'drunk dad' dancing joke to a whole new level, writing "The most sauceless feet I’ve seen in a while. Bad dad who refuses to retire moves."

"Justin giving me old drunk uncle vibes here. Talking about 'back in the day this how I got down,'" joked another fan.

One fan dubbed the dancing as "bad dad who refuses to retire moves."

Others were genuinely bewildered by the clip: "Help, what did I just watch?"

Upon finally finding out that his music festival appearance resulted in a viral meme, Timberlake issued an apology to none other than the city of Washington, DC.

"Hey DC," he began, I want to apologise to you for two reasons."

Pointing to both of his feet, the singer continued: "Here and here. I had a long talk with both of them individually and said 'don't you ever do that to me again'."

Poking fun out of himself, and his outfit, Timberlake carried on with: "Maybe it was the khakis? It was a real khaki vibe."

Even the Mayor of DC, Muriel Bowser, got involved, tweeting: "Should I consider a mayoral pardon of Justin Timberlake?"

The Mayor continued to joke: "And then for his shot at redemption, we would need Pharrell to bring #SITWFest back."

Needless to say, although Justin Timberlake took the roasting pretty well, he'll definitely think twice before donning some cargo shorts and busting out the dad grooves...
