Jessie J has shared a powerful image alongside an important message about her postpartum body on Instagram, a month after giving birth to her son.

The singer announced the arrival of her son, Sky Safir Cornish Colman with professional basketball player Chanan Safir Colman last month.

In an update to fans, the 'Price Tag' singer opted to bare all and show off her postpartum body in a poignant snap taken just 11 days after her c-section.

Wearing just a pair of plain black knickers with her breasts censored, the star opened up about loving her new body.

The singer has shared every step of her journey to motherhood and beyond.

She posted the striking image alongside the caption: "I’m writing this for myself as well as anyone else that needs to read this.

"Your body was a home for someone else to live in for 9 months.

"Your organs have moved and need to find their way back to where they were before.

"Your uterus is still deflating slowly.

"Your hormones are flying and crashing.

"Your body is working the hardest it has ever worked.

"You are exhausted but you are magical.

"You grew a whole human.

She shared an adorable image of her son recently.

She also offered some advice to fans, urging them to 'take your time' and 'be easy on yourself, your body AND your mind'.

"Remember you are in recovery and don’t forget to also remind those around you," she continued. "Celebrate your new body.

"It HAD to change. It will be bigger and smaller in different places. IT IS BEAUTIFUL and NATURAL.

"Ignore the whispers of what some people say you should or shouldn’t look like after a certain time. It’s 2023. People need to chill. It’s your journey.

"Your time and YOUR body. It’s not the same as anyone else’s, and that’s what makes it special. You are unique."

She then talks about her experience: "This was my body 11 days after giving birth and I still look pretty much the same now 35 days on.

"I LOVE my body. It has given me the most magical roommate inside and outside of my body.

"And when it’s ready and able to change again it will. Whatever that looks like. I’m here for it."

It hasn't been an easy ride for the now 35-year-old, who suffered a miscarriage in 2021 and shared words of support for others who had experienced losing a baby following her miscarriage.

She said that in a 'heartbreaking but beautiful way' the experience had 'put life into perspective' for her.

This pregnancy, after spending 'nine months prepping for a natural birth', she revealed she would be having 'a planned C-section for the safest birth'.

She shared the news on social media in a video of herself dancing five minutes before her surgery.

Fans have been loving her new proclamation of post-baby power.

One said: "You are such an inspiration, Jess! So great to see you living the best moment of your life, and enjoying all the process the way it needs to be. Love you, thanks for sharing your feelings."

Another simply added: "Thank you."
