Britney Spears slams claims family and friends 'staged a failed intervention'

Britney Spears has slammed reports suggesting her family and friends 'staged a failed intervention'.

Britney Spears has hit back at claims that her family and friends staged an intervention for her.

Since the end to her controversial conservatorship in 2021, Spears has had a new lease of life and has been rather active on social media.

While a lot of Britney fans are delighted to see the singer back, there has been a few trolls, as you'd unfortunately expect with the internet nowadays.

Recent media reports had suggested that some close to the 41-year-old were planning to talk to the singer about her mental health.

But the music star has now bit back at reports that suggested some of her friends and family were worried about her behaviour.

The allegations came after one of Spears' recent outings at a restaurant appeared to show her speaking 'gibberish'.

At the time, Spears hit back at people who recorded her at JOEY restaurant in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles.

According to the Daily Mail, the family intervention was set to take place at her house, but didn't go ahead.

In recent hours, Spears took to Instagram to respond to the claims to her over 41 million followers on the social media platform.

She posted a photo of a blank text post with a pink background reading: "A state of gratitude will shift you to a high frequency."

In the caption, the singer added: "It makes me sick to my stomach that it’s even legal for people to make up stories that I almost died... I mean at some point enough is enough!!!

The 'Oops!.... I Did It Again' singer added that she would probably have to stop posting on Instagram, adding: "Even though I enjoy doing it, there’s obviously a lot of people who don’t wish me well!!!"

She continued: "Again, the conservatorship has been over for almost a year … No folks, it’s not 2007 … it’s 2023."

Spears ended the Instagram post by reassuring fans that all is OK between her and her husband Sam Asghari, and they enjoy spending time in each other's company.

She concluded: ""I’m making my first homemade lasagne at home!!!

"I finally got my fireplace to work in my living room!!!

"As my hubby says it best: don’t believe everything you read!!! All that love right back at ya!!!"
