The family of a young woman who died in front of her parents at dinner are waiting for answers about her unexpected death.
Daniella Jane Duchatel, 26, from Brisbane, went into cardiac arrest at her parents’ home on Sunday night (21 May).
The young government worker’s mum, Kay Duchatel, attempted to give her daughter CPR after she collapsed but she was sadly unable to revive her.

A month before the young woman’s unexpected death, while walking home after meeting friends, she tripped and broke her leg ,which left her with some torn ligaments.
Daniella had a plat inserted into her leg during emergency surgery and had been recovering at her parent’s house not long before she died.
Doctors believe that a blood clot formed after the surgery and travelled up to Daniella’s lung and caused a pulmonary embolism, a blocked blood vessel in the lungs which can be life-threatening if not treated quickly.

The family are now waiting for the results from an autopsy to confirm Daniella’s cause of death.
Daniella’s mum, Kay, confirmed the passing of her daughter on Facebook on Tuesday (23 May).
“It is with the greatest sadness that I inform you all that our daughter Daniella Jade Duchatel passed away peacefully last night,” she wrote.

Friend Janis Michel posted a beautiful tribute to Daniella on Instagram, sharing that her friend had dreams of travelling the world.
“Your love and kindness was so pure and being around you made me want to be a better person,' she gushed.
“The time spent with you have been some of my happiest moments of my life, from falling asleep on the sofas watching friends to fighting off frogs in the rainforest I cherish it all and will forever remember our amazing memories and time together.

“I love you my sweet angel. Rest easy, and I will see you again. For now like you told me I will go galavanting the world for the both of us. I miss you so much my sister."
Daniella’s friend, Chantelle Lay, has launched a GoFundMe for donations to help cover the costs for the funeral.
"Her family would appreciate your financial support at this time," she wrote.

“It allows them to be home, to take the time to mourn the loss of their daughter and to help pay for costs associated with Dani's funeral,” the description reads.
The campaign has raised over $16,000 AUD of its $20,000 AUD target.
