Fans react as Beyoncé announces she's going on world tour

The singer is set to kick off her tour this year

It's the news Beyoncé fans have been waiting for, and they can't contain their excitement: Queen Bey is going on tour.

The singer took to Instagram to confirm the incredible news today (1 February) following speculation that she would be announcing a tour after the release of her latest studio album, Renaissance.

The album arrived in July, and ever since fans have been waiting, hoping and wishing that the singer would announce plans to perform her new tracks in person.

Now, the time has finally come.

The singer shared the news on Instagram.

Beyoncé confirmed the news with a picture of herself riding on a silver horse and wearing a matching cowboy hat.

Alongside the image, she simply wrote: "RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR 2023."

Those four words were enough to send fans into a frenzy, with many flooding the comments section with their excitement.

"FINALLY," one fan responded, while another wrote: "We are blessed."

Fans were hopeful Beyoncé would announce her tour today, at the start of Black History Month in the US, after rumours started to circulate online.

Many made clear they had their credit cards at the ready, with fans stressing that ticket sites better be ready for the influx of customers coming their way.

"I’M SHAKING I’M PHYSICALLY SHAKING," one stunned fan responded to the announcement.

Other members of the BeyHive reported that her site had crashed in the aftermath of the tour announcement as people sought to find out every possible detail about the shows, but it now looks to be back in action.

Beyoncé performed live in Dubai last month, but before that she hadn't entertained fans on stage for four years.

With February now upon us, fans really don't have long to wait to see her live as the tour is set to kick off in May with a show in Stockholm, Sweden, before moving to Belgium, the UK, France, Spain, the Netherlands and Canada.

UK fans will be able to watch the 'Single Ladies' singer perform in Cardiff, Edinburgh, Sunderland and London - or all of the above, if you're a real hardcore fan.

Following Beyoncé's shows in the UK and Europe, the US leg of the upcoming Renaissance tour is set to kick off on 12 July in Philadelphia, before stopping in Chicago, New York City, Boston, Atlanta, Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston and New Orleans.

The tour will come to an end in September, with a final show in New Orleans.
