Ariana Grande's comment about Millie Bobby Brown discovered following her engagement

Ariana Grande's comment about Millie Bobby Brown discovered following her engagement

Brown announced she’s engaged to boyfriend of two-and-a-half years Jake Bongiovi yesterday

In the wake of Millie Bobby Brown’s engagement news, fans have dug out an old comment Ariana Grande left on her Instagram page – and it’s surprisingly fitting.

Brown, 19, announced she’s engaged to boyfriend of two-and-a-half years Jake Bongiovi, confirming the happy news in a cute Instagram post that showed them both hugging and smiling, with a new ring on show on her left hand.

Quoting Taylor Swift's hit 'Lover', she wrote: "I've loved you three summers now, honey, I want 'em all."

Bongiovi, who is the son of legendary Jon Bon Jovi, also shared the announcement on his own Instagram, simply saying: "Forever."

Many of her fans were delighted to hear her beau had put a ring on it, but some commented to point out how young they felt she was to be getting married.

One said: "Sorry to be a killjoy but this is not going to last, Millie you grew up too fast, you deserve a normal and fun adolescence. You are 19."

Another added: "You are too young to be making this decision."

Others went on step further and dug out an old comment Ariana Grande left on a 2018 Instagram post Brown shared.

In the snap, Brown, who was 14 at the time, could be seen kissing her former flame Jacob Sartorius on top of a lifeguard watchtower on the beach, with the caption: “Moonlight with him.”

Grande had commented underneath: "I wasn't even allowed to leave my house until I was 20."

However, she had also liked the post, meaning she may well have just meant it as a light-hearted quip.

Brown and Bongiovi were first linked in June 2021 after being photographed in New York holding hands.

Bongiovi then added fuel to the fire when he posted a photo of them both sitting in a car, with the caption: "BFF <3."

Since then, they've both featured regularly on one another's feeds, with Brown posting a blurry pic of them embracing on the London Eye in November that year, following it up with a Christmas Day selfie the next month.

In a sweet tribute to Brown on her 19th birthday in February, Bongiovi posted a carousel of photos including one of them napping together, writing: "Another year around the sun together happy 19th to the girl of my dreams. I love you more than words can describe. Everything about you is golden down to the core."
