Who’d have thought it?

With Y2K hairstyles all the rage right now, you may have been stocking up on small elastics to create bobble-esque ‘dos.

But as cool as they look on a big night out or in selfies, this small elastics are a real pain in the behind to get out without yanking full handfuls of your hair out.

Thankfully, one TikToker has shown an easier way to get them out of your locks without resulting in a mangled mane.

TikTok user @amberrosepeakehair showed how one hair tool provides the perfect solution at how to get small elastic hair ties out without damage – and it literally works like magic.

With her video quickly racking up three million views, people flocked to the comments to praise the hair stylist, who regularly posts tutorials to her page, in showing a simple way in getting rid of these elastics.

“Oooooof ty I’ve been yanking all my hair out,” one person wrote.

“Omg thank u!!!! i stay ripping out my hair trying to get them out!” said another grateful viewer, adding a crying emoji (we feel your pain, girl).

“This is so handy!” gushed a third fan, as a fourth proclaimed: “You just changed my life, sis.”

One viewer wish she’d known the handy hint earlier. “This would’ve been helpful after bubble braiding my hair for raves,” she wrote. “The struggle.”

The idea behind this contouring technique is to enhance or slim down certain facial features using liquid or cream products all in one go, rather than needing to apply multiple products one after the other which can prolong the process.
