Netflix drops first trailer for You season four

Hello... You.

Ali Condon

Ali Condon

Netflix has just dropped the first trailer for You season four and Joe Goldberg is once again wreaking havoc... but this time, it's across the pond.

Yes, in the hopes of hunting down his beloved Marienne, Joe has officially touched down in London town. Check out the trailer here:

Eek! This is one season that can't come soon enough.

In season four of You, we'll find Joe (Penn Badgley) snooping around London under the alias of university professor Jonathan Moore, after he flew to Europe to find Marienne (Tati Gabrielle), who was only too eager to ditch him in the season three finale.

But, knowing Joe, it's only going to be a matter of time before he finds his new obsession in England's high society - and the consequences can only be dire.

New cast members this season include Lukas Gage (Euphoria), who will play wealthy US ex-pat Adam, who is struggling to live up to his family's high expectations, and Charlotte Ritchie (Feel Good) as Kate, the fiery art gallery director.

Amy-Leigh Hickman will play literature student and aspiring author Nadia, who's trying to cover up some secrets of her own.

And Ed Speelers will be troubled author Rhys, who is living off the success of his memoir.

Which of these characters will make it out of season four alive? It's hard to say.

The new season will also star Niccy Lin, Aidan Cheng, Stephen Hagan, Ben Wiggins, Eve Austin, Ozioma Whenu, Dario Coates, Sean Pertwee, Brad Alexander, Alison Pargeter and Adam James.

Let's do a quick recap of season three, so we're ready to go when these new episodes finally drop, shall we?

In the uber-dramatic season three finale, we saw Joe reach his breaking point with his wife Love (Victoria Pedretti), and ultimately murder her.

Joe really met his match with Love, and felt a little out of sorts when he found out she was pregnant with their son, forcing them to move out to the dreaded suburbs.

While Love found herself falling for the teenage next door neighbour but suppressing her feelings, Joe quickly became infatuated with local librarian Marienne.

It wasn't long before it all got too much for Joe to handle, with Love taking revenge on her cheating husband by revealing the truth about his obsessive behaviours to Marienne, and ultimately trying to kill him.

That's when Joe decided enough was enough, killing Love, faking his own death by baking his toe into a pie and setting the family home on fire, and abandoning their son with another family.

It was a lot, to say the least.

In the final scene of season three, we saw Joe wandering around Paris, obviously in search of Marienne, who had fled there to get the hell away from him.

And, if I know Joe like I think I do, it's only a matter of time before he tracks her down.

Part 1 of You season four lands on Netflix on February 9 and Part 2 follows on March 9.
