An Amish teenager has her first 'English' kiss on camera and viewers are finding it 'hard to watch'.

The passionate moment took place on an episode of Return to Amish from 2021, which saw Maureen share an intimate and unique moment with her crush, Daniel.

So the Amish are a group of traditionalist Anabaptist Christian church fellowships and are known for their plain dress sense, simple way of living and a refusal to adapt to modern technology.

The premise for the TLC reality series sees a group of Amish cast members return to their hometowns to once again live in their communities.

In season six, episode six of Return to Amish - which is a spin-off to the original series Breaking Amish - viewers witnessed Maureen's first 'English' on-screen kiss with Daniel, the ex-Amish taxi driver.

The pair first met when Daniel drove Maureen and her friend Rosanna to the airport, and then later down to Florida.

After dropping his future fling off at the airport, Daniel asks for Maureen's number and tells her to keep in touch.

However, the friends' trip to Florida didn't last long due to Covid and when Maureen returned, her romance with the taxi driver started to blossom.

And episode six sees them both giving the most awkward kiss you've ever seen.

Instead of locking lips, the pair simply stick their tongues out and start going at it, without barely any lip contact.

Imagine a French kiss but without lips.

Viewers were also flabbergasted by the technique used for their second kiss, with one person commenting: "The second kiss was so so hard to watch. I can't imagine how terrified the cameraman was watching that oof."

"Why did they kiss like normal human beings the first time and then descend into the world's most terrifying kiss on the second?" another questioned.

Someone else added: "I died when they did that second kiss cause my soul left my body I was laughing so hard my mama thought I was choking."

Well, according to Maureen's Instagram, the pair are still together and have welcomed a baby girl into their lives.

It seems like their awkward kiss was the start of something special.
