Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir Singh has revealed she was sexually assaulted as a child in a new documentary about Prince Andrew and Ghislaine Maxwell.

Singh, 44, is presenting an ITV documentary, Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and the Paedophile, in which she speaks to Lisa Phillips, a victim of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his friend Maxwell.

Phillips, 43, explained how Epstein, who died in prison in 2019, took her to his private island in the Caribbean when she was 21 where he attacked her.

"I went along with it. You’re not going to kick and scream and fight and yell when you’re on an island,” she said.

While hearing her story, Singh was reminded of the sexual assault from her childhood. She said the incident happened once and the person who attacked her is now dead. She did not reveal any further details about the person’s identity.

“It happened once and that person is dead and so I have an understanding of what it’s like and why you would never want to speak of it again,” she said after interviewing Phillips.

In December 2021, Maxwell was found guilty of helping American financier Jeffrey Epstein sexually abuse teenage girls in a landmark ruling.

The jury at Manhattan Federal Court, New York found the 60-year-old socialite guilty on all but one count in the hearing last month.

Maxwell was found guilty of five charges in total, including sex trafficking of an individual under the age of 18.

As Maxwell awaits sentencing in a New York prison and after Prince Andrew was stripped of his royal patronages, Singh explores Maxwell’s friendship with Epstein and how the Queen’s second son is now embroiled in the scandal as he faces his own possible civil court case brought by Virginia Giuffre although he denies any wrongdoing.

Singh interviews some of the people found in Maxwell’s ‘little black book’ of contacts and examines evidence such as flight logs to Epstein’s private island.

Survivors including including Phillips and Teresa Helms are interviewed about their experiences and members of Maxwell and Epstein’s social circle, including Lady Victoria Hervey and Euan Rellie, who recall Prince Andrew’s presence at social occasions held by Maxwell and her interactions with him.

Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and the Paedophile on ITV at 9pm on Tuesday 18 January.
