Ozark fans, it’s time to sit up straight – Netflix has unveiled the full trailer for part one of Season 4.

Can’t wait to see what the Byrde family is up to? Watch the trailer below.

While the first look at the hotly-anticipated new series suggests the family may be in for a wild ride, the Byrde family clan may have also found a way to ease themselves out of their money-laundering drama.

The freedom Marty has so desperately craved for his family may depend on Omar Navarro – the head of Mexico’s second largest drug cartel.

It sounds like a strange turn of events, particularly when he served as the overarching antagonist for the first three seasons of Ozark.

Omar offers a deal (
Netflix)

Well, as the trailer suggests, Navarro is willing to turn himself in to the FBI – but he has certain conditions he wants, and expects Marty and Wendy to use their influence to manipulate authorities to his demands.

He tells the struggling pair: “I will walk away from my business…I will be free from the threat of arrest or assassination, and to move freely to the United States.”

Should they manage this feat, Marty and his family will then be free from their obligations to the drug cartel.

But the deal doesn't sound too appealing (
Netflix)

But while the offer is certainly tempting to Marty, when he relays the information onwards to Maya Miller, he’s told that this will take “more than [Omar] is willing to give.”

Even if they do manage to pull this off, it also doesn’t absolve Marty and Wendy from the various crimes they’ve committed on behalf of the cartel – particularly if the FBI have evidence of their involvement.

Darlene isn't backing down (
Netflix)

And of course, things are set to be even more complicated for the Byrdes; the trailer shows that even when they confront Darlene Snell about her own heroin operation with a direct threat from the cartel to force her to cease trading, she doesn’t seem keen to give up without a fight.

We can’t wait for what’s in store…

Ozark Season 4 Part 1 will be released on Netflix on 21st January.
